We all use Alt-Tab to toggle different windows of applications. Even though we use this key shortcut to do our daily job yet we don’t know this tricks. Alt-Tab ↹ is the common name for a keyboard shortcut that has been in Microsoft Windows since Windows 3.0. This shortcut switches between top-level windows without using the mouse; hence, it was named Task Switcher (Flip in Windows Vista). It will really save time, especially when we work with 10+ excel files at a time.
If you are working with multiple Excel files along with documents (PDF, PPT, browser etc.), this shortcut key will circulate between all of the windows sequentially before helping you land on the relevant Excel window.
Next time when you simply want to toggle between open Excel files, try Ctrl + Tab on an open window of Excel instead of Alt + Tab.
BTW the same trick works with Browsers & PowerPoint (not Word). Try with different applications to see the effect.
